Choose us when
- Your map is a core surface in the product and the bill grows every time adoption does
- You need parcel boundaries, flood zones, wetlands or public land — data Google does not sell
- You want to cache tiles, work offline, or ship a field application with no connectivity
- You would rather build on MapLibre and open formats than a vendor SDK
Stay with Google Maps Platform when
- You need turn-by-turn navigation, live traffic or Street View imagery
- Place search over current business listings is the feature, not the backdrop
- Your map usage is small enough to sit inside the monthly usage credit
- Global coverage matters more than depth in the United States — our property data is US-only
